We invite you to explore our event’s vast diversity of knowledge and perspectives.
You will have the opportunity to look into the issues shaping the future, from energy literacy to transforming the built environment. Discover highly relevant exhibitions and interesting learning opportunities that will be available in each of the subject areas.

The Congress will address the following Main Topics:

This line addresses the challenges and opportunities in transforming energy systems towards more sustainable models, focusing on equitable access for all social sectors. We invite you to submit research on public policies, regulatory frameworks, and energy transition strategies, with special attention to those that benefit vulnerable communities. Works that consider the role of buildings in this transition will also be valued, both in their planning and implementation at urban and rural levels.

This line focuses on communications that explore the role of buildings and energy systems in adapting to and mitigating climate change. Works on resilient buildings and infrastructures, sustainable energy planning, climate risk management, and decentralized solutions that improve the capacity to respond to extreme events are included. Strategies for the energy rehabilitation of the existing building stock will also be considered.

This topic focuses on technological advances allowing greater efficiency for energy production, distribution, and use. This includes smart buildings and systems, digitalization, energy storage, smart grids, and efficient and safe integration of renewable sources. We will evaluate proposals for applying these technologies in the building sector in new construction and renovation processes.

This focuses on the importance of energy education as a tool to strengthen citizen participation in energy use and decision-making. We will present training experiences, communication, and knowledge dialogue that have allowed communities to understand and lead energy transformation processes at different scales, including initiatives on the design and efficient use of living spaces and community buildings.

This addresses the relationship between energy, building, and territorial development, promoting models that integrate renewable energies into the environment, social inclusion, and local economic revitalization. We will analyze success stories, barriers, and opportunities to implement sustainable solutions in different urban and rural contexts in Latin America and other regions worldwide.

This line analyzes how access to, lack of access to, or the cost of safe, clean, and affordable energy services impact people’s health and well-being. We will discuss energy poverty, indoor air quality, thermal comfort in buildings, and intersectoral approaches that link energy, health, and social justice.

This proposes critically reflecting on the metrics and indicators for measuring progress towards more just and sustainable energy systems. Monitoring tools, data analysis, and participatory methodologies applicable at the community level and in urban and building planning will be explored to evaluate real impacts on people and territories.
