We invite you to an urgent and transformative conversation at the International Congress “Rethinking Energy for Sustainability, Equity, and Transition”, which will be held in the wonderful Panama City. This event is more than an academic exchange: it is an opportunity to imagine and build a fairer, more resilient, and more sustainable energy future.

OBJETIVES
OF THE CONGRESS
Encourage interdisciplinary collaboration
Promote knowledge exchange between experts, academics, and researchers on issues related to energy poverty, environmental well-being, energy efficiency, and thermal comfort.
Analyze mitigation strategies in the built environment
Promote sustainable and resilient solutions to reduce the effects of energy poverty and minimize buildings’ environmental impact.
Explore thermal comfort and indoor air quality
Present and discuss the importance of comfort and air quality as key elements in improving living conditions in buildings and their influence on the health and well-being of the occupants.
Contribute
to energy justice
Generate proposals that promote equitable access to energy, ensuring optimal thermal comfort conditions and indoor air quality in built environments.
Promote sustainability and the development of practical skills
Integrate sustainability principles into academic curricula and offer practical workshops that allow participants to apply theoretical knowledge in real-life contexts, preparing them to face future environmental challenges.
Promote the exchange of knowledge and experiences
Create a forum for educators, researchers, and professionals in hydraulics and sustainability to share their knowledge and best practices in teaching these disciplines.

The papers will be published in a book edited by the Center for Energy, Environmental, and Technological Research (CIEMAT).
The best papers presented at the congress will be invited to be submitted to the journal Habitat Sustentable (Indexed in Scopus) for possible publication after being evaluated by blind peer review.
